Basic Principles of Good Photographic Composition:

Simplicity - Get close to your subject  Examples

Lines - Use lines to bring emphasis to your subject  Examples

Framing - Surround or "frame" your subject with an object in the forground.  Examples

Rule of Thirds - Place your subject off center.  Examples

Balance - Formal or informal - Balance the visual weight of the scene  Examples

Mergers - Avoid Mergers, something that is distracting  Examples

Objectives:

    To help students learn about photography.

    To learn how to take better pictures.

    To learn how to develop B&W film, and print B&W pictures.

    To help the yearbook with pictures.

    To learn how to operate an SLR camera.

    Expectations:

    Students are expected to attend all meetings, pay club dues, and take pictures.

    Students will be responsible when working in the darkroom and when using the schools´ camera.
